Structure and Bonding in Planar Hypercoordinate Carbon Compounds

چکیده

The term hypercoordination refers to the extent of coordination an element by its normal value. In sphere, can achieve planar and/or non-planar molecular shape. Hence, hypercoordinate carbon species violate two structural rules: (i) highest number is four and (ii) tetrahedral orientation connected elements groups. unusual orientations are mostly stabilized electronic interactions central atom with surrounding ligands. this review article, we will talk about current progress in theoretical prediction viable compounds. Primary knowledge chemistry lead forthcoming expansion. Experimental interests tetracoordinate (ptC), pentacoordinate (ppC), hexacoordinate (phC) continued. proposed mechanical strategies helpful for designing ptC Moreover, 18-valence electron rule guide design new clusters computationally as well experimentally. However, counting electrons not a requisite condition contain cluster. Furthermore, idea expanded probability greater orientations. Unfortunately, until now, there no such logical approaches ppC, phC, or higher-coordinate molecules/ions. There exist few global minimum structures phC identified computationally, but none have been detected All minima may be feasible gas phase.

Magnetism, Bonding and Structure of Coordination Compounds

INTRODUCTION It is not only timely, for the reasons discussed below, to provide a survey of the use of magnetic susceptibility measurements for the study :of complex compounds, but also fitting that the subject should be discussed in a country whose scientists have made so many outstanding contributions to quantum mechanics in general and spectroscopy and magnetism in particular. I pay a specia...

Intermetallic Compounds of Element 112: the Electronic Structure and Bonding

The next heaviest element which is to be studied chemically at the JINR, Dubna, [1] and GSI [2] is element 112. Its properties are expected to be unique: high volatility and inertness due to the very strong relativistic stabilization of the 7s electrons and the closed-shell configuration, 7s6d [3]. The surface of the chromatography column in the gas-phase chromatography experiments is to be mad...

Computational design of organometallic oligomers featuring 1, 3-metal-carbon bonding and planar tetracoordinate carbon atoms

Density functional theory computations (B3LYP) have been used to explore the chemistry of titanium-aromatic carbon "edge complexes" with 1,3-metal-carbon (1,3-MC) bonding between Ti and planar tetracoordinate Cβ . The titanium-coordinated, end-capping chlorides are replaced with OH or SH groups to afford two series of difunctional monomers that can undergo condensation to form oxide- and sulfid...
